Karl is a partner with the law firm of Marlow, Connell located in Coral Gables, Florida. Karl is a graduate of Florida State University and the University of Miami School of law. Karl has been a life-long resident of Miami Dade County and has been active in local youth sports organizations for more than 20 years. Karl has served as Vice President and on the Board of Directors for Howard Palmetto Baseball Softball Association. Karl lives in Palmetto Bay, Florida with his wife, Ann Marie and their three sons and is a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church.  | KEITH REILLY Co-Chair
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Keith moved to sunny South Florida in 1970 in order to never ever having to shovel snow again. He attended Santa Fe College and University of Florida which led to twenty years in the healthcare industry, most recently in radiology sales with imaging and data management systems (PACS). The past twenty years has seen Keith based in the Miami area.
Since 2001, Keith has been a Howard Palmetto Baseball Softball Association volunteer by successfully holding the positions of Coach, Manager, Secretary, and League President. In 2010, he dedicated himself to bringing a Miracle League to the Miami metropolitan area. Duties include assisting the start-up of the Miracle League of Miami Dade, website operations, field development, and fundraising activities. Keith, and his wife Ann, have two wonderful children and he is very much committed to seeing the 2012 opening of The Miracle League of Miami Dade.

 | KEN FAIRMAN
Ken was born in Sharon,Pennsylvania. His family relocated to Raleigh, NC and then he continued on south to Miami in 1986. He is a general manager at Driveway Maintenance, Inc., a statewide paving and pavement maintenance contractor. Ken graduated from Wake Forest University where he met his Demon Deacon bride Kim. They have two children, one attending Carver Middle School and the other at Coral Reef Sr. High School. Governor Charlie Crist appointed Mr. Fairman to Florida Housing's Board of Directors where he has recently finished up a three year term. Ken has been coaching soccer through the YMCA for ten years and has coached baseball at Howard Palmetto since 2005. Currently he is the President of the Howard Palmetto Baseball Softball Association and manager of the Marlins in the (13U) Midget division.

 | DAVE HILL - Project Construction Director
My name is David Hill and I have been a Miami native since 1961. I would like to thank everyone for the opportunity to serve on the Executive Board of Directors for the Miracle League of Miami Dade County. My wife of 25 years, Cindy, and I presently live in the southern most point of Coral Gables called Kings Bay Estates. Our daughter Ashley attends nursing school at University of Central Florida. Son David attends Palmetto Sr. High School and has played Howard Palmetto baseball beginning with coach pitch balls all the way through to the high school division this past season. For the past 11 years I volunteered as either a Howard Palmetto manager or coach. My work over the years with the family businesses has included South Miami Auto Center, Seven Seas Restaurant, The Taurus Restaurant, and now as landlord of Coconut Grove Bank in South Miami. Baseball is a passion of mine: My vision is to see all children having an opportunity to play the game. Work Hard / Play Hard is my motto.

 | PHILIP "FLIP" GASSMAN
Philip (Flip) Gassman is Executive Vice President and Chief Private Banking Officer of Marquis Bank, a locally owned and operated community bank based in Coral Gables. Flip is a graduate of The University of Arizona. A financial services professional for 22 years in South Florida, Flip has also worked for Professional Bank, Coconut Grove Bank and Gibraltar Private Bank and Trust. His past philanthropic duties has been on the Board and as Treasurer of Wings Over Miami Air Museum, Board of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Miami and Board of The Humane Society of Greater Miami. Born and raised in Miami, Flip grew up playing Howard Palmetto Baseball and of late had the privilege to coach both his boys for the past 10 years of their youth baseball careers. Flip is a resident of Palmetto Bay, Florida with his wife, Leigh and two boys, Ross and Grant.

 | MARK KACER - Secretary
Mark is a life-long resident of the area that is currently known as Palmetto Bay, Florida. He graduated with an Accounting degree from Florida State University where he met Debbie, his wife of 28 years. They have three children: Amanda (24), Kevin (21) and Brandon (17). Mark managed and coached both Kevin and Brandon throughout their 10+ years of playing baseball at Howard Palmetto Baseball Softball Association. Both went on to play varsity baseball at Miami Palmetto High School. Mark has been an executive with several leading national companies including: Arthur Andersen & Co., Equinox Systems Inc., vFinance Inc., Contender Boats Inc., and currently with a financial services company-United TranzActions LLC. Mark is excited about the opportunity to "give back" to the community that has blessed his family. He is particularly enthusiastic about bringing the game of baseball to those special needs children who have not experienced the thrills, joys, and accomplishments to be gained from participating in organized sports.

 | LISA MAYS - Director of Fundraising Co-Chair
Originally from Northern Virginia, Lisa Mays made her way south to Miami where she and her husband, Tom, raise their four beautiful children. She has been active in her community’s youth organizations for over 10 years and, since growing roots in Miami Dade, she and her family has been involved with the Howard Palmetto Baseball Softball Association, the Dade County Sports League, the JCC and the Leewood PTA. Lisa was a certified counselor in her Atlanta community for those suffering from physical challenges, mental illness, family issues and personal crisis. Lisa received her Business Marketing degree from Virginia Tech, established a successful 14 year career in corporate recruiting and is now a Licensed Insurance Advisor. Lisa’s responsibility to the Miracle League of Miami Dade is capital and future fundraising. She is dedicated to the long term success of our League and to see that every child has the chance to play baseball!

 | GRANT MILLER
Publisher of Miami’s Community Newspapers, Grant was born and raised in Miami, Florida for the past 54 years. During his volunteer time he has been the President of Howard Palmetto Baseball & Softball and the Greater Miami Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading. He is on the Board of the Miami-Dade County Parks Foundation, is a trustee of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, Chamber South and the Aventura Marketing Council. He is also the co-founder of the Pinecrest Business Association, Palmetto Bay Business Association and the Cutler Bay Business Association.
Grant presently coaches two baseball teams.

 | MICHAEL PEREDO - Treasurer
Michael has over 17 years of experience as a senior financial executive. He has served in various roles of several companies in South Florida primarily in the real estate industry. He currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of SH Communities, a regional real estate company who builds residential housing and manages commercial real estate. Prior to his tenure at SH, he held financial positions with GL Homes, Aman Group, and Lionstone Group. Before working in industry, he started his career working in public accounting working for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, a Big 4 public accounting firm consulting clients across several industries as well as high net worth individuals.
Michael received a Bachelor of Science from Auburn University and a Masters of Accounting from the University of Florida. He is a Florida certified public accountant. Michael is married with three children and has lived in Pinecrest for the last 30 years.

 | JULIO ROBAINA
Julio Robaina is a partner/owner of “Pazos, Robaina and Zapata Property Management Group.” Mr. Robaina is also a former lawmaker of the Florida House of Representatives from November 2002-2010 and three term Mayor of the City of South Miami. He has served this community for more than thirteen years in the public sector and currently lives in South Miami. He was involved in bringing the first ever handicap boundless playground to the City of Palmetto Bay and was instrumental in bringing millions of dollars to parks in Miami, South Miami, Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay. Under his stewardship, the City of South Miami was named one of the top ten cities in the United States in 2001 to receive the honor of being named “All-America City” by the National Civic League. He was also involved in the revitalization of the City of South Miami’s Downtown District and also served on the boards of the Habitat for Humanity, Hands on Miami, The Children’s Trust and Special Olympics of Miami Dade County.
