Lisa is a true Miami native. She graduated from Miami Killian Senior High then received her B.S. degree in Telecommunications from the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida. Lisa joined the CBS4 News team in June 1995 as line producer of the Noon Newscast. It’s a position she held for ten years and during that time, the broadcast was the #1 ranked Noon newscast in South Florida. The summer of 2005 brought the winds of change and a record number of hurricanes to go along with it. After producing for endless hours through the most active Atlantic hurricane season in recorded history, Lisa was ready for a change. At the end of 2009, Lisa crossed over from line producing to web producing where she is currently Senior Web Editor for CBSMIAMI.COM.
Prior to joining the CBS4 News team, Lisa worked at WTVJ and was part of the team that won the Alfred I. DuPont, Edward R. Murrow and George Foster Peabody awards for coverage of Hurricane Andrew in 1992.
Lisa is married and has two sons, one of which is still playing for the Howard Palmetto Baseball Softball Association. Both kids are looking forward to serving as “Buddies” with the Miracle League of Miami-Dade County.
Her husband Vinnie, and in-laws Joe and Camille Cilli, have deep roots with the HPBSA and everyone is excited about getting involved with the Miracle League.

 | JEFF CUTLER - Legal Advisor
Jeff Cutler is a native resident of Miami, Florida, attending Palmetto Elementary, Middle and Senior High schools before graduating with honors from the University Of Florida School Of Business Administration (BSBA, Finance) and receiving his juris doctor degree from the University Of Florida School Of Law in 1982. He was a Captain and four year letterman for the University of Florida Wrestling Team. Mr. Cutler has an active law practice located in Coral Gables, and his personal achievements and associations are numerous and varied. In November, 2006, he was publicly elected and presently sits as a Councilmember of the Village of Pinecrest, acting as the Vice-Mayor of Pinecrest from November, 2008 to 2009. Mr. Cutler was re-elected in November, 2010. Jeff is also an active member in many legal and local business associations, including the American and Florida Bar Associations and Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Cutler has been a long time volunteer as Legal Counsel to the Howard-Palmetto Baseball & Softball Association, a youth baseball league he played in growing up in Miami.

Marina Demers was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her family moved to the U.S. in 1966, first to N.Y. and then to Miami. She graduated from Miami Palmetto High School and Florida State University. Marina and her husband Kevin, a CPA, have three grown children, who all played baseball and softball growing up. Marina has been involved with Howard Palmetto Baseball and Softball Association since 1970, first as a player and later in various positions including manager, vice-president, and Commissioner of Softball. Marina continues to manage girls’ softball teams because of her love for the game. With her involvement in the Miracle League Marina would like to bring the joy of the game to all children.

Mark is the Vice President for Budget and Planning at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. Prior to joining the University, Mark served as a manager for KPMG Peat Marwick.
Mark is a Miami native and has received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Miami. Civically active he has served as president of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center and is a strong supporter of the Childrens Home Society and the United Way of Miami-Dade County. Mark lives in South Miami with his wife Marlena and their four children.

 | BOB HINGSTON
Bob Hingston is a Village of Pinecrest resident. He is a partner with the Coral Gables law firm of Welbaum, Guernsey Hingston Greenleaf Gregory Black Rune & Thomas, LLP., primarily involved with matters involving all aspects of construction, from planning and contracting though through construction and litigation. He has been on the Panel of Arbitrators (Construction) of the American Arbitration Association since 1982. He received his law degree from the University of Florida in 1974. He served as a founding councilmember of the Village of Pinecrest from 1996 through 2006, serving as Vice Mayor from 1996-98; 2001-02 and 2005-06. He has also served as a member of the Pinecrest Planning Board from 2008-11 (Chairman 2009-11), the Community Center Advisory Committee, and the Village Manager Search Committee. In addition, Bob has been involved with youth sports in the Pinecrest area for over 30 years, with both the Optimist Club of Suniland and the Howard Palmetto Baseball Softball Association. With Howard Palmetto, he has been coach, manager, Vice President, Executive Committee member, and Baseball Commissioner, recently finishing his 30th season and still going.

 | SUSAN SIROTA - Director of Baseball Buddies
A native Miamian, Susan is a Licensed Psychotherapist and is certified by the State of Florida in Special Education. She is also a Certified Critical Incident Responder and has worked as a volunteer in the aftermath of numerous disasters. She is married to Steven Sirota who has been proudly coaching their son Jake in the Howard/Palmetto league for many years. Susan is currently the School Counselor for Coral Reef Elementary and enjoys working with children to reach their emotional and physical potential. She looks forward to bringing that same commitment and energy to the children and families participating in The Miracle League.

 | DOUG TYRE - Director of Information Technology
A second generation native of what is now Palmetto Bay, Doug attended Westminster Christian High School then received his BS in Economics from the University of Alabama and his MS in the Management of Technology from the University of Miami. He is an IT Service Management Professional at the University of Miami, where he works to improve the Information Technology services provided to the University and local community. He is an ITIL Expert and holds teaching certifications in Linux, UNIX and VMware. Doug coached his son, Zack for years at Howard Palmetto, where his wife, Heidi often found herself serving as team mom/scorekeeper.
